BOAT MODES

SIX WAYS TO POINT

Every mode is the base doing one job on its own - holding a direction, sweeping, following your jigs or staying on a spot - while the boat drifts and swings under it.

EVERY MODE WORKS THE SAME WAY
Picking a mode never moves anything. Only the action button (or a nudge) does - so you can look at a mode's settings safely.

ANCHORED

AIM - turn it where you want, it stays put on the boat.

DRIFTING, ONE TARGET

HOLD to watch one direction, SPOT to stay on one place.

DRIFTING, LOOKING

SCAN HOLD sweeps the same water; SCAN AIM sweeps off the bow.

UNDER WAY

TROLL follows your jigs behind the boat, through turns.

READING THE DIAL

NEEDLE
Cyan needle + yellow arrow = where the pole points right now.
YELLOW DOT
Outside the ring = where it is turning to. Drag it to aim anywhere.
RING COLOUR
The mode. Dim while picked, bright (with a slow glow) while it runs.
SWEEP
The shaded wedge = the SCAN arc. Orange = SCAN HOLD, lavender = SCAN AIM.
TARGET
SPOT / TROLL target, drawn as far out as it really is: dotted rings every 30 ft, the edge is 120 ft. Red = locked / following.
BOAT
Drawn in the middle. N on the ring is north.

DIAL, TOPO OR SATELLITE

The square button bottom-left of the dial card switches the view: DIAL → TOPO → SAT. On a map view the same needle, sweep and target are drawn over a boat-up map, centred on the boat - drag still aims.
